Twitter Launches Blue For Organization With Square Profile Photos

Twitter is releasing Blue For Service, a brand-new version of Blue Verified created to differentiate brand name accounts from individual accounts.

In addition to a gold checkmark, Blue For Company comes with a square profile image and the capability to link any associated Twitter accounts.

When service accounts designate their affiliated accounts, such as personal Twitter accounts of staff members, the affiliate gets an extra badge beside their validated checkmark.

The image at the top of this page shows an example of a Twitter staff member’s account, which has a blue checkmark and a badge with Twitter’s logo design.

In a blog post, Twitter supplies various examples of how brand names can use Blue For Business:

“By creating this connection, we’re making it possible for organizations to produce networks within their own companies– on Twitter. Companies can affiliate their management, brand names, assistance manages, employees or teams. Reporters, sports team players or movie characters can all be affiliated. You name it, we got it. Each affiliate will be verified and formally linked to their moms and dad handle based on a list provided by the moms and dad business. We will share any new requirements, rates or process as we upgrade them.”

Despite how Twitter tries to spin it, there’s little doubt that Blue For Organization is created to sell more memberships.

If your brand name and its affiliates are at threat of impersonation on Twitter, having actually everybody verified and linked under the same parent account might be worthwhile.

However, without more details, it isn’t easy to measure this service’s worth to companies.

To that end, we do not know just how much it will cost businesses, as signups aren’t open yet.

Twitter is piloting Blue For Businesses with select accounts and will make the service broadly available next year.
